Teaching

I believe teaching mathematics is about making the abstract visible — connecting rigorous argument to geometric intuition and computation. I have served as instructor of record for five semesters at the University of South Carolina.

Teaching Philosophy

教数学,是把严谨的论证变成可以看见、可以动手验证的东西。

Three principles guide my classroom:

  1. Intuition first, rigor second — every theorem gets a picture before it gets a proof.
  2. Computation as a lens — students implement small numerical experiments to see convergence happen.
  3. Low floor, high ceiling — problems accessible at entry, but with room to stretch.

Materials

Course notes, problem sets, and code demos are available on request. Selected teaching code lives on my GitHub.

Office hours and current-semester information will be posted here each term.
