关于 / About

Zhaoqing Xu 许钊箐

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mathematics at the University of South Carolina, advised by Prof. Xiaofeng Yang. I also serve as an instructor of record for undergraduate mathematics courses. My research lies in computational and applied mathematics — modeling, numerical analysis, and scientific computing, with applications to phase-field models, interfacial dynamics, and collective behavior.

好的数值方法,是在精度、效率与可靠性之间寻找平衡的艺术。

Research Interests

  • Phase-field modeling & computation — dendritic growth, anisotropic interfacial dynamics, energy-stable schemes
  • High-order time-stepping — IMEX Runge–Kutta methods, spectral methods, unconditional energy stability
  • Scientific computing — efficient decoupled solvers, structure-preserving algorithms
  • Collective behavior — Euler-alignment systems, sticky particle methods

Education

I studied at SUSTech (Southern University of Science and Technology, 南方科技大学) for both my undergraduate and master’s degrees, and I am now a doctoral student at UofSC (University of South Carolina, 南卡罗莱纳大学).
